Our Story
In the small farm town of Kimberly Idaho, Burnt Co. was born out of a desire for something better. We believe the beauty of the outdoors speak for themselves, and the little things that we love and respect about the outdoors will always hold a soft spot in our lives. Little things like watching your dog run through the willows, finding a big game shed, finally reaching the summit of that peak, picking up a feather or catching the first fish of the season.
When our owner Aaron wanted a new hat with his bird dog on it, he wasn't able to find the one that resonated with him or the experiences he has had. Out of that void, Burnt Co was born. We took all the things we love the most about the outdoors and made them into classic headwear, t-shirts, and hoodies that you will be proud to wear and that tell your individual story.

Our Operation
We procure the best-fitting and most comfortable hats, t-shirts, and hoodies we could find. We choose colors that reflect the natural elements you've come to know and love in the wild.
Every leather patch on our hats is individually cut and burnt and then oiled by hand. We use top of the line adhesives to make sure your headwear can stand up to your active lifestyle and the outdoor elements you are sure to take it in. Our patches are made with high grade veg-tan leather, sourced from Wickett & Craig, a world premier vegetable tannery in the United States. The leather is tanned using the method of veg-tanning, which is a natural, eco-friendly process that produces durable, exquisite leathers.
Whenever possible, we use compostable, recyclable, or sustainable shipping products on all of our orders to reduce our impact on the environment and help keep the outdoors wild and free.
Our Team
We are Aaron and Hannah Licudine. We have been married 15 years and are currently residing in Hansen, Idaho with our baby son Henry. We also live with our German Wirehaired Pointer bird dog named Aspen, and our black cat (also a bird hunter). We spent the first 5 years of our marriage in the greater Portland, OR area. Although both of us were introduced to the great outdoors at a young age and we spent most of our childhoods outside, living in Oregon together fed our love for being in the wild. We spent as much time as we could either on the Oregon coast fishing, in the Mt. Hood national forest hiking and camping, or canoeing in the hundreds of bodies of water in the area. Now, we both love living in the great Gem State of Idaho and are still finding any excuse to get outside and enjoy all the natural resources that the area has to offer, including the beautiful Sawtooth Mountains and the Snake River Canyon.
Hannah is a native Idahoan and enjoys trail running, hiking, hunting, fishing, photography, camping and gardening. When she is not working with Aaron at Burnt Co, she is working for Idaho's largest health care system as a Program Specialist.
Aaron was born in Oregon but spent his youth between Idaho and Wyoming. He has over a decade of experience in retail management and has a keen eye for design. He enjoys big game hunting, bird hunting, fishing, dog training, cooking and four wheeling.
Both Aaron and Hannah are also cancer survivors. They are big advocates of Wilderness Therapy as part of treatment and recovery for any illness or disease.
